Fork you buddy!

Fork you buddy!

MYFoxNY.com – How can a puppy survive walking around for three days with a fork lodged in his head?

Well, ask Smokey, a 12-week-old chihuahua puppy who had a large barbecue fork stuck in his head.

A handle broke off a grilling fork and flew right into his head at a family party in Kentucky. Smokey then ran off into the woods and was lost for three days before being rescued. He was immediately taken to the hospital.

Vets took just 30 seconds to remove the barbecue fork lodged in Smokey’s brain. Doctors say Smokey appears to be okay and is expected to make a full recovery.

Note : Thats got to be the hardest shot to make ever! You couldnt even do that if you was trying. Do you have any wierd puppy stories?

Russian lifts 14kg with vagina, sets record

I refuse to put the real pics here lol

I refuse to put the real pics here lol

A Russian woman has set a new world record in the competitive world of vagina lifting by raising 14kg using her … hmmm … well you know.

Tatiata Kozhevnikova of Novosibirsk, aged 42, has been in training for 15 years and has finally won the bragging rights after lifting a 14kg glass ball.

This topic is quite frankly too weird and icky for us to attempt to explain so we’ll leave it to Tatiata to tell you in her own words.

“You insert one of the balls in your vagina, and it has a string attached to it with a little hook at the very end. You fix a second ball onto this hook.”

Thanks Tatiata. As for how she got into the sport, here she is again.

“After I had a child, my intimate muscles got unbelievably weak. I read books on Dao and learned that ancient women used to deal with this problem using wooden balls.

“I looked around, saw a Murano glass ball and inserted it in my vagina. It took me ages to get it out!

“It’s enough to exercise your vagina five minutes a day, ladies, and in just one week you’ll be able to give yourself and your man unforgettable pleasure in bed.”

An excellent explanation – we’re off to have a wash.

The death of the .torrent ? PirateBay sold!

July 6, 2009 18CARATBRASS 1 comment

The Pirate Bay has been purchased and is perhaps looking to go legit. Software company Global Gaming Factory X AB has shelled out approximately US$7.8 million for the site.

The acquisition appears to be the first step into turning The Pirate Bay into a legal site. The Stockholm-based piracy site is a peer-to-peer server which made video games, movies and music available for “sharing” among users. Swedish police previously raided the The Pirate Bay and those connected to the site, and the ensuing trial against the BitTorrent site’s founder resulted in a guilty verdict.

According to Hans Pandeya, CEO of Sweden’s Global Gaming Factory, “We would like to introduce models which entail that content providers and copyright owners get paid for content that is downloaded via the site.”

Pandeya adds that while The Pirate Bay is one of the top 100 most visited sites on the entire internet, it needs to change. “In order to live on, The Pirate Bay requires a new business model, which satisfies the requirements and needs of all parties, content providers, broadband operators, end users, and the judiciary,” says the GGF exec. “Content creators and providers need to control their content and get paid for it.” What’s more, Pandeya adds, file sharers need “faster downloads and better quality”.

According to a statement from The Pirate Bay, “If the new owners will screw around with the site, nobody will keep using it. That’s the biggest insurance one can have that the site will be run in the way that we all want to.”

Global Gaming Factory X AB will acquire The Pirate Bay this August.

Final thought …. Does this mean the beginning of the end for torrents? When Napster went legit all p2p file sharers similar to their model followed suit which overtime lead to the iTunes market. Does this now mean that torrents will be accepted into the legal market with open arms? Will we now see the next big step forward? Napster > Kazaa/Bearshare > Limewire > Torrents ….. whats next? Does this cause issues for the likes of isohunt?

Yaar! The Pirate Bay fires its Video Bay cannon at YouTube

Following is an article from ‘TechCrunch’ recommended by sXephil of YouTube fame explaining how PirateBay has been found guilty for assisting piracy and illegal file sharing, however I have to admit i admire their balls… they are appealing the verdict AND starting a YouTube style video site using the exact material they are being sued for!

I personally see downloading as a way to try before you by, free advertising for smaller bands and a way to share material with friends to get them interested… I do not however agree with mass downloads and selling DVDs for profit at a bootfair…

Whats your views on downloading? Does the industry make too much?

Supposedly, the The Pirate Bay guys were found guilty in their recent trial in Sweden, and, supposedly, they got sentenced to a year in prison and had to pay $4.5 million in damages. But back in the parallel universe which happens to be the real world, they’ve appealed the verdict and could probably do so for the next few years. Which means that in the meantime they need to keep busy, and what better way to do this than start a new user driven video portal to take on YouTube. Seems reasonable. It’s not like they need to attract any more legal interest or anything.

OK, the VideoBay site currently doesn’t have much – a big logo, a search box which doesn’t yield much and
some explanation:

To stay in the spirit on which TPB was founded and using the Latest
Technology™, TVB aims to use the new HTML5 features, more specificly the
and tags with the ogg/theora video and audio formats. This site
will be an experimental playground and as such subjected to both live
and drunk (en)coding, so please don’t bug us too much if the site ain’t
working properly.

However, they’ve “decided to give everyone a sneak peak” but it didn’t work for this particular browser. A supposed sneak peak at thevideobay.org/20/ didn’t work either. In fact it appears the site is riddled with 401 errors,
so it’s not an auspicious start. Update: Those who want to try out need a web browser that supports the HTML 5 tags such as the latest Firefox Beta or Safari 4.

According to TorrentFreak. The Pirate guys say there is still a lot of work to do behind the scenes – the encoder is not finished yet and the design is also a work in progress. And they’re not in a hurry, their window is “in, like, a year or five.”

So what’s the big idea? Well in common with their stated views the idea is to host and allow users to share video clips without having to worry about getting them taken offline due to copyright violations, in true Pirate Bay-style. Hello, YouTube, hear that?

They actually announced this idea two years ago, but I daresay most thought they’d never pull the trigger on this particular cannon.
